El pasado 10 de enero, Sergey Bezuglyi y David Handelman, colgaban en el repositorio arXiv el artículo titulado Measures on Cantor sets: the good, the ugly, the bad.
¿Está relacionado el artículo con el famoso Spaghetti Western de Sergio Leone?
En realidad no (¿o si?)… es un artículo sobre sistemas dinámicos. El título lleva a una nota a pie de página, en la que los autores aclaran:
This is the correct translation of the title of the Italian spaghetti western (Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo, D: Sergio Leone), which was changed for US audiences. The English language title, The good, the bad, and the ugly, is clichéd now —over 175 articles in engineering and mathematics use it in their title— but we could not find any titles using the original order.
La verdad es que la puntualización tiene su gracia…
En el largo artículo, los investigadores trabajan con los conceptos de medida buena (introducido por E. Akin), medida fea y medida mala… y parece que todas las combinaciones entre ellas son posibles.
